The Best Way To Burn Belly Fat
Sorry but there is no way to say this gently, the truth is that you are going to have to get yourself doing some exercise if you are going to get rid of that belly fat. Sure some diets say you don’t have to exercise and that careful calorie counting is all that is needed but hey exercise will make the entire burning belly fat process that much quicker. Why? Well, it is due to that fat that not only does it work through a heap of calories when you do the exercise but what is more it forces the metabolism of the body to work at a higherrate for the next few hours. So, as burning belly fat is my goal what eactly should I do in terms of exercise?
Well first of all I will tell you what NOT to do:
Do not do endless sit-ups crunches or whatever else is the latest fad exercise to come on to the market is. Targeting the ab muscle group for exercise will improve the tone and strength of those muscles but to be frank it will do very little to remove belly fat! just because you exercise your stomach muscles with sit-ups doesn mean that fat is going to disappear from that area. Fat will come off your body in the reverse order to which it was put on. So if the last place that your body increased in fat size was your chin then that is where it is going to come off first, not your belly regardless of how many sit-ups you do!
Do not do long steady state exercises such as jogging for hours on end. OK this is better than nothing and for years was the standard recommendation for weight loss but to be honest things have moved on a bit since then.
So, what precisely is the best method of removing belly fat fast?
Well, you can work off an equal amount of calories as jogging in a great deal less time and give your metabolic rate a significant boost by performing only 20 mins of intense interval training (HITT). An effective training session could look like this
On a treadmill do a minute walkingfollowed by a slow jog for two or three minutes in order to warm your muscle up and prevent injury. Next at the three minute mark increase the pace to 90% of your maximum effort level. this will likely be very difficult to do but attempt to do so for 2 minutes. once the tow minutes is up lower the speed down to a level that is 50% of your maximum effort, this will most likely be a reasonably paced jog allowing you to recover your breathe somewhat. The next thing to do is another two minutes of running at the intense level of 90% followed again by a one minute period os steady paced jogging. Do this cycle for a minimum of twenty minutes. The very first time you perform this it will be quite difficult and you may need to alter the timings a littel to make it easier, that is no probelme just kep altering them as you improve.
This same style of training session can be done with pretty much any activity such as cycling, swimming, rowing, and so on plus it will also increase your level of fitness and work of an increases amount of calories than continuous steady state exercise will whilst also being a good bit less boring!
The second type of exercise to do is weight training which is possibly the best way to lose stomach fat. I realise you do not want to turn in to a muscly Arnietype figure you just want to lose weight and believe me that is not going to happen anytime soon. increasing your muscle mass will aid you a great deal in weight loss. The reason for this is that muscle requires a lot of calories during the day to simply keep it in a healthy state. Increased muscle mass therefore equates to more calories used up (even during times when you are doing nothing) and that is not too even mention the workouts themselves which will get through a heap of calories and ramp up your metabolism significantly also.
A great workout with weights for belly fat loss could include doing three sets of these exercises: lateral pull downs, squats, bench-press, overhead press and dead lifts. You should aim to do between 10-12 repetitions and the last rep should be tough to complete so alter the weight accordingly. You can even perform this following you interval training session which I can pretty much guarantee will provide your metabolic rate with a massive boost.
Try and perform 2 weight training workouts each week plus three more aerobic training sessions. Combining this with a sensible diet including foods that increase metabolism (do not starve yourself!) and you will make real progress in burning belly fat.
