If i do ab work outs will i lose stomach weight?

I was wondering if i do ab work outs and lift weights, will i loses stomach fat? I know lifting weights wont make me skinnier, but i wasn’t sure if ab exercises would make me lose weight. I only am worried about the stomach area and sides.

    Doing ab exercises will tone the muscle. To lose fat, you need to burn calories with cardio exercise. You really can’t do spot reduction.

    Actually, lifting weights will increase your muscle mass which will burn more calories from your entire body including your abs.

    Therefore, continue lifting weights. It’s a great way for you to shed some weight.
